De taak van het rode en witte mannetje is simpel: ze moeten tegen etenstijd de deksel van de pan een stukje open houden, zodat de stoom kan ontsnappen. Dat is maar een half uurtje werken per dag, dus dat betekent dat ze heel veel vrije tijd hebben. Dan vermaken ze zich door acrobatische toeren uit te halen.
